What if I’ve never handled a firearm before?
That’s exactly who this class is for. We specialize in helping new shooters feel safe, comfortable, and confident.
Do I need to own a gun first?
No. You do not need to own anything before attending class. We’ll explain what you need, what can wait, and how to move forward at your own pace.
How long before I can carry?
Most students submit paperwork the same week and receive approval within 45 days.
Do I need prior experience with firearms?
No. This class is designed for beginners and first-time students. We keep the process clear, approachable, and easy to follow.
Will this class qualify me for a Virginia CCW permit?
Yes. Upon completion, you’ll receive the training certificate required for the Virginia concealed carry application process. A Virginia concealed carry permit may also allow you to legally carry in other states through reciprocity agreements, depending on current laws and where you travel.
Do we go to the range?
Some class options include a live-fire session, while others are classroom-based. If your class includes additional range time, we’ll explain exactly how that portion works before your training date.
How long is the class?
Plan for about 3–4 hours, depending on class size and Q&A. Weekend classes may run slightly longer due to range time.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a valid photo ID, something to take notes with, and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide any additional instructions before class.
